Project Surveyor - Commercial Fit-Out & Refurbishment Projects

PAYE Day Rate: Competitive

National Travel Required for some projects

PSR Solutions are working with a leading construction and fit-out business to recruit an experienced Project Surveyor on a freelance PAYE basis to support the delivery of a portfolio of refurbishment and fit-out projects across the UK.

This role would suit a detail-oriented Surveyor who enjoys being heavily involved in the commercial delivery of projects, ensuring accuracy, cost control and contractual compliance throughout. This is not a management-heavy position; instead, the focus is on maintaining high commercial standards and supporting successful project delivery across a number of fast-paced schemes.

Due to the nature of the projects, travel across the UK may be required, with occasional stays away from home during the working week.

The Role

Reporting into the commercial team, responsibilities will include:

Managing project costs from procurement through to final account.

Preparing valuations, cost reports and commercial forecasts.

Managing subcontractor accounts and payment processes.

Assessing and pricing variations.

Monitoring budgets and identifying commercial risks and opportunities.

Maintaining accurate records and contractual documentation.

Supporting operational teams to ensure projects are delivered commercially and contractually in line with expectations.

Working across multiple refurbishment and fit-out schemes simultaneously.

Requirements

Previous experience as a Project Surveyor or Quantity Surveyor within construction, refurbishment or fit-out environments.

Strong attention to detail and commercial awareness.

Experience administering subcontractor packages and project cost reporting.

Ability to manage workload across multiple live projects.

Strong understanding of construction contracts and change management.

Excellent organisational and communication skills.

Willingness to travel nationally and stay away when required.
