An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to support the delivery of major data centre developments within a leading building services consultancy.

This Electrical Design Engineer role is ideal for someone with a strong building services background who enjoys delivering technically complex electrical designs across mission-critical projects. You'll work on high-profile data centre developments, supporting projects through key design stages while collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams.

The successful Electrical Design Engineer will join an established project team delivering large-scale data centre developments, producing high-quality electrical designs and helping to deliver innovative engineering solutions.

The Role

As an Electrical Design Engineer, you'll be involved in:

Delivering electrical building services designs for major data centre projects

Producing detailed electrical calculations, reports and technical specifications

Supporting projects through RIBA Stage 3 and Stage 4 design

Designing power distribution, lighting and associated electrical building services systems

Working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop coordinated design solutions

Attending design meetings and responding to technical queries

Producing accurate design documentation in line with project and client requirements

Supporting the successful delivery of technically complex mission-critical developmentsThis Electrical Design Engineer position offers the opportunity to work on one of the fastest-growing sectors within the building services industry while enjoying the flexibility of remote working.

What They're Looking For

Experience working as an Electrical Design Engineer within a building services consultancy

Strong electrical building services design experience

Experience delivering projects through Stage 3 and Stage 4 design

Good understanding of UK building regulations and industry standards

Strong communication and technical reporting skills

Ability to work independently while collaborating with remote project teamsExperience across:

Data centres

Mission-critical facilities

Commercial developments

Healthcare projects

Large-scale MEP developmentswould be highly advantageous.
