Job Description

Apex Resources Ltd urgently require several general factory operators/trainee machine operators for their prestigious manufacturing client in Port Glasgow, Inverclyde. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting production processes, ensuring quality standards are met, and maintaining a safe and efficient working environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with an interest in manufacturing and hands-on work within a dynamic factory setting.

Duties

* Operate various mechanical and manual machines to assist in assembly and production tasks

* Assist with the assembly of components according to specifications and quality standards

* Conduct routine inspections of products during the manufacturing process

* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area to ensure safety and efficiency

* Follow health and safety procedures at all times to minimise risks within the factory environment

* Previous factory or manufacturing experience is desirable but not essential; training will be provided

* Mechanical knowledge or experience working with machines is advantageous

* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

* Good organisational skills with attention to detail

* Physical fitness to perform manual handling tasks

* Basic literacy and numeracy skills for following instructions and recording data

Hours of work:

Monday to Thursday 7:15am-5.30pm

This role is suitable for motivated individuals eager to develop their skills within a manufacturing environment. Applicants should demonstrate a proactive attitude, reliability, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and quality.This position will be starting on Monday and so immediate availability is critical.
