We at Aspire People are currently recruiting a confident and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to work at a welcoming and well-established secondary school in Newham. This is a fantastic opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, or experienced education professionals looking to gain valuable classroom experience in a supportive school environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising classes during teacher absences, ensuring students remain focused on the work set and maintaining a positive learning atmosphere.

The Role

Supervising classes across Key Stages 3 and 4 in the absence of teaching staff.

Delivering pre-prepared lesson materials and instructions.

Managing classroom behaviour in line with the school's policies and expectations.

Ensuring students remain engaged and complete the work provided.

Providing feedback to relevant staff regarding student participation and behaviour.

Supporting the wider school community where required.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

Experience working with young people in an educational, coaching, mentoring, or youth work setting.

Strong behaviour management and communication skills.

Confidence leading a classroom and working independently.

A professional, reliable, and proactive approach.

A genuine interest in supporting students' learning and development.

An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
