Workshop Operative
Ely
Monday to Friday, 7:30am 4:00pm
£12.86 £14.00 per hour DOE
Temp to Perm

We are proud to be working with a well-established and growing manufacturing business based in Ely. Due to continued growth, they are now looking to expand their Workshop team with a reliable and hands-on individual who is looking to secure a long-term position within a stable and supportive environment.

This is an excellent temp-to-perm opportunity with the potential for permanent employment following a successful probation period.

Duties Include:

• Supporting general workshop production, including unpacking and re-packaging doors and door sets
• Sorting deliveries into the correct locations and checking labels to ensure accurate stock allocation
• Inspecting stock for damaged or missing items and carrying out regular stock checks
• Moving and organising stock manually and using lifting equipment/forklift trucks where required
• Assisting with general warehouse duties and maintaining housekeeping and Health & Safety standards
• Operating woodworking machinery where required

Requirements:

• Previous warehouse or production experience preferred
• Comfortable with heavy lifting and manual handling duties
• Valid Counterbalance Forklift licence with operating experience required
• Reliable, hands-on approach with good attention to detail
