Experienced Teaching Assistant - Primary SchoolLewisham, South East LondonSeptember 2026 Start Full-Time £100 per day PAYE

Tradewind Recruitment is delighted to be working with a welcoming and inclusive mainstream primary school in the London Borough of Lewisham, seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2026.

This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 4:00pm, supporting pupils across the primary age range. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping children achieve their full potential both academically and socially within a positive learning environment.

The Role:

• Full-time Teaching Assistant position
• September 2026 start
• Working hours: 8:30am - 4:00pm, Monday to Friday
• Supporting teaching and learning across the primary curriculum
• Providing targeted support to individuals and small groups
• Assisting with classroom management and pupil engagement
• Working closely with class teachers and the wider school team

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant within a primary school setting
• A strong understanding of the primary curriculum
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• The ability to build strong relationships with pupils, staff and parents
• A genuine passion for education and helping children succeed

Salary and Benefits:

• £100 per day PAYE
• Pay increase after 12 weeks of successful placement
• Full-time role running until July 2027 (end of the academic year)
