Tradewind are recruiting! Are you a qualified teacher of Design Technology and looking for a new supply role?

Tradewind Recruitment is currently looking for a specialist Construction and Built Environment teacher to join a secondary academy.

This is a full-time supply teaching to cover a temporary absence from September 2026 until Christmas, possibly beyond.

The Role

Teacher of Design Technology - Construction and Built Environment

Five days a week

Experience of teaching practical technology lessons, making use of the technology department's equipment for CAD /CAM, 3D printing and construction equipment.

Positive confident behaviour management skills ensure practical lessons are engaging and safe.

Ideally, teachers will be familiar with the EDUQAS scheme of work for Construction and Built environment.

The academy are interested in hearing from Early Career Teachers and experienced QTS teachers.

Unfortunately, the school are unable to accept applications from teachers without QTS as their insurance will not then cover the teacher for practical lessons

• Hold QTS Status or QTLS or ECT status
• This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional references checks
