Contract: Short-Term, Long-Term & Flexible Opportunities
Pay: £14.00 £16.00 per hour (depending on experience)

We're looking to connect with dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistants who are interested in opportunities within specialist education settings across Northampton. Whether you're seeking short-term, long-term or flexible work, we'd love to hear from individuals who are committed to helping pupils overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.

The successful candidates may work within a specialist provision supporting young people with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs) and SEND, combining classroom support with pastoral mentoring to help students thrive both academically and personally.

What the Role Could Involve
  • Supporting teachers to deliver engaging and inclusive lessons.
  • Providing one-to-one and small group support to pupils with additional needs.
  • Encouraging positive behaviour, engagement and independence.
  • Building trusted relationships with students to promote confidence and emotional wellbeing.
  • Offering pastoral guidance and monitoring student welfare.
  • Helping create a safe, nurturing and supportive learning environment.
  • Working closely with teaching staff and wider professionals to meet individual student needs.

Many of the settings we work with support small class sizes, enabling staff to provide personalised support to pupils, including those preparing to transition back into mainstream education.

What We're Looking For
  • Have experience working with children or young people within education or a similar setting.
  • Understand the needs of pupils with SEMH, SEND or those attending alternative provision.
  • Can motivate and engage learners while supporting their individual goals.
  • Hold GCSE English and Maths at Grade 4 (C) or above, or an equivalent qualification.
  • Communicate professionally and work effectively as part of a wider team.
  • Are committed to safeguarding, equality, diversity, inclusion and promoting positive outcomes for young people.
Why Register With Us?
  • Competitive rates based on experience.
  • Flexible short-term, long-term and ongoing opportunities.
  • Access to training and continued professional development.
  • Support from a friendly and experienced education recruitment team.
  • Opportunities that may lead to permanent positions.
  • A rewarding career making a genuine difference to young people's lives.
Safeguarding & Equal Opportunities

Inspire EHC and the education settings we work with are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. All successful applicants will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check and provide satisfactory professional references.

We are proud to be an Equal Opportunities Employer and welcome applications from all backgrounds.

Please note that sponsorship is not available for these opportunities.
