Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Social Sciences Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in the Wellingborough area from September 2026.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to inspire students across a range of Social Science subjects, including Psychology, Sociology, Criminology, and Health & Social Care. The successful candidate will be committed to delivering engaging lessons, promoting academic achievement, and fostering a positive learning environment where students can thrive.

As a Social Sciences Teacher, you will:

• Plan and deliver high-quality lessons across Social Science subjects at Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5

• Inspire and motivate students to achieve their academic potential

• Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing constructive feedback

• Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners

• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment

• Contribute to curriculum development and departmental initiatives

• Support students' personal development and wellbeing

We are looking for a teacher who:

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification

• Has experience teaching one or more Social Science subjects at secondary level

• Demonstrates strong subject knowledge and a passion for their specialism

• Has excellent classroom management and communication skills

• Is committed to raising attainment and supporting student success

• Can work effectively as part of a collaborative team

• Holds an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or is willing to apply for one
