Principal Traffic Engineer

London

5-month contract (minimum)

£350 - £425 per day, Inside IR35

Are you an experienced Principal Traffic Engineer looking for your next challenge?

Our client is an ambitious authority who are seeking an experienced Principal Traffic Engineer to join them on a contract basis, initially for 5 months.

Key Responsibilities:

·Responsible for leading the technical team in the planning, investigation and delivery of traffic and parking engineering measures and schemes.

·The post holder will be responsible for budget, contract and project management, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.

·The post holder will support the Transport and Projects Manager in organising technical staff and administering the service, while representing the service and deputising for the Manager when necessary.

·Oversee the identification, appraisal, and design of traffic and parking schemes

·Prepare committee reports, technical reports, briefing notes and correspondence and present at committees, meetings and to the public when required.

·To keep abreast of relevant legislative, technical and professional developments to enhance the effectiveness of services provided

·Provide expert advice, guidance and up to date information on relevant aspects of service provision to internal and external stakeholders

What is required?

·As the successful candidate, you will have extensive experience in traffic engineering

·Proven ability to manager budgets, contracts and complex projects

·Experience leading technical teams

·You will have great stakeholder management skills.
