Night Shift Warehouse Operatives to join a busy and fast-paced distribution centre in
Avonmouth. This is a fantastic opportunity for reliable and hardworking individuals looking to secure long-term employment with the opportunity to become a permanent member of the team.
Full training is provided, making this an excellent opportunity whether you have previous warehouse experience or are looking to build a career in logistics.
The RoleAs a Night Shift Warehouse Operative, your duties will include:
- Picking and packing customer orders accurately
- Loading and unloading vehicles
- Scanning and sorting parcels
- Working within both chilled and ambient warehouse areas
- Using a pump truck to move pallets when required
- Ensuring orders are prepared accurately and on time
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment
- Following all health and safety procedures
Working Environment This role involves working in both:
- Chilled warehouse: 2 C to 8 C
- Ambient warehouse: 15 C to 25 C
Please note: Due to the chilled environment, suitable warm clothing is recommended. Safety footwear is essential.
What We're Looking ForThe successful candidate will be:
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling duties
- Able to stand and work for the majority of the shift
- Comfortable working in both chilled and ambient environments
- Able to work accurately in a fast-paced warehouse environment
- A team player with a positive attitude
Essential Requirements- Full UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points)
- Able to pass a criminal record check
Desirable- Previous warehouse, picking or packing experience
- Basic computer skills, as additional training may be provided on warehouse systems, increasing opportunities for a permanent position
