EYFS Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
Location: Kensington and Chelsea, SW5
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full Time, Term Time Only
Salary: Paid to scale

TeacherActive is proud to be recruiting on behalf of a highly regarded two-form entry primary school in the Kensington and Chelsea area (SW5) for an experienced and enthusiastic EYFS Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their outstanding team from September 2026.

The successful candidate will become part of a supportive and collaborative Early Years team dedicated to delivering the highest standards of education and care.

• Supporting teaching and learning across the Early Years Foundation Stage.
• Delivering planned lessons and activities in the absence of the class teacher.
• Working closely with teachers to support children's academic, social, and emotional development.
• Leading small group interventions to accelerate progress and raise attainment.
• Contributing to assessment and observation within the EYFS framework.
• Creating engaging and stimulating learning experiences that promote curiosity and independence.

• HLTA status or equivalent experience working at HLTA level within a primary school setting.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of the EYFS curriculum and framework.
• Experience supporting children in Nursery or Reception classes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A proactive, flexible, and positive approach to supporting pupils and staff.
• A passion for Early Years education and helping children achieve their full potential.
