Occupational Therapist - Specialist SEND School

Overview

I'm currently recruiting for an Occupational Therapist to join a specialist SEND school in North London.

This is a great opportunity to join an established therapy team supporting children and young people with a range of additional needs. Occupational Therapy is a big part of the school's approach, so you'll work closely with teachers, Speech and Language Therapists, Physiotherapists and families to help pupils achieve the best outcomes.

The role includes carrying out assessments, planning and reviewing therapy programmes, contributing to EHCPs and Annual Reviews, attending MDT meetings and supporting school staff with practical strategies that can be used throughout the day.

The school has a really supportive therapy team, values new ideas and encourages ongoing professional development.

They're happy to consider both permanent applicants and Occupational Therapists looking for a long-term locum position, so there's flexibility depending on what you're looking for.

Full-time and part-time applications are welcome.

Requirements

HCPC registered Occupational Therapist

Bachelor's degree or higher in Occupational Therapy recognised by the relevant professional bodies

Around 3 years' paediatric Occupational Therapy experience

Experience working with children with SEND

Comfortable working as part of a multidisciplinary team

Enhanced DBS (we can put this in process for you)Desirable

Sensory Integration (SI) training

Experience with specialist seating and equipment

Experience delivering training to staffWhat's on offer
