Job description
Supply Chain Coordinator
What you'll actually be doing:
We're looking for a Supply Chain Coordinator to join our team supporting on an incredibly busy client contract – and this isn't your standard forecasting role.
Ever wondered what it takes to keep one of the UK's busiest train networks stocked, supplied, and ready to serve thousands of passengers every single day?
You'll be the vital link between demand and delivery. Working closely with commercial teams, warehouses, and suppliers, you'll forecast what's needed, when it's needed, and make sure it's there. From understanding passenger trends and special events to managing stock levels and keeping suppliers on their toes – you're keeping the operation moving.
This is hands-on, fast-paced work. You'll be running replenishment planning, resolving order exceptions, tracking supplier performance, and jumping on issues before they become problems. When there's a risk of shortage or a delivery goes astray, you're the one who sorts it.
You'll also be the go-to person for service centres, keeping them informed and ensuring service levels don't slip. And because data drives decisions here, you'll be building reports and KPIs that give senior leadership the insights they need.
What we're looking for:
Someone who thrives in the detail but never loses sight of the bigger picture. You've got at least two years in FMCG supply chain – ideally with forecasting and demand planning under your belt. You're confident with enterprise resource planning systems (enterprise business software is a bonus), spreadsheet software is second nature, and you know how to turn numbers into action.
But beyond the technical stuff? You're proactive, organised, and brilliant under pressure. You can juggle competing priorities, influence stakeholders at all levels, and take ownership without being asked twice.
Why this role matters:
Supply chain done right means passengers get what they need, service centres can do their jobs, and the trains keep running like clockwork. You'll see the direct impact of your work every single day.
If you're ready to step into a role where your expertise genuinely keeps things moving, let's talk.
