Drainage Groundworker – Groundworks & Civil Engineering

Principal Contractor: Kilnbridge Construction Services

Role Type: Contract

Rate: £18 – £22 per hour (based on experience)

Location: Crewe

Duration : 4 Months +

Kilnbridge Construction Services are looking for an experienced Drainage Groundworker to support drainage and groundwork operations on a major project in Crewe.

Key Responsibilities

* Installation of plastic drainage pipework

* Carrying out fusion welding of drainage pipes where required

* Construction and installation of drainage manholes

* Working within excavations up to 1.5m deep

* Safe use of trench sheeting systems

* Excavation, laying, testing, and backfilling of drainage runs

* Reading and working from drawings and specifications

* Ensuring all work is completed safely and to programme

* Maintaining high standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance

Essential Experience

* Proven experience as a Drainage Groundworker

* Experience installing plastic drainage systems

* Fusion welding experience

* Experience working with trench sheeting

* Manhole construction experience

* Ability to work safely in excavations up to 1.5m deep

* Valid CSCS Card

* Previous experience on civil engineering or infrastructure projects

Desirable Qualifications

* CPCS/NPORS Plant Tickets

* Confined Space Training

* Street Works (NRSWA)

* United Utilities

* First Aid at Work
