Pay: From 14 per hour (depending on experience)

Aspire People is working with a number of specialist SEND schools, resource provisions and alternative education settings across St Helens, all of which are recruiting dedicated Teaching Assistants for September starts.

Whether you already have experience within SEND education or have supported children in care, youth work, residential settings or similar environments, we'd love to hear from you.

You'll Support Pupils With a Wide Range of Needs, Including:

Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
ADHD
SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs)
Moderate and Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD & SLD)
Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)
Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN)
Complex medical and physical needs
Sensory processing differences

Your Role May Include:

Providing 1:1 support and small group interventions
Supporting pupils both in the classroom and around the school environment
Delivering sensory, communication and life-skills activities
Promoting independence, confidence and emotional wellbeing
Assisting with personal care where required (not all roles)
Working alongside teachers, therapists and wider multidisciplinary teams
Recording progress and contributing to individual support plans

What We're Looking For

We're keen to hear from people who are:

Experienced in education, SEND, care, support work, youth work or childcare
Calm, patient and resilient in challenging situations
Passionate about inclusive education and supporting individual needs
Strong communicators who enjoy working as part of a team
Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
Able to provide professional references and complete an Enhanced DBS check if required
