A specialist SEN school in Ellesmere Port is looking for a Behaviour Mentor / SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Autism, ADHD, SEMH and behavioural needs. This isn't just a classroom support role - it's about building trust, creating consistency and helping young people feel safe enough to learn.

The school has a genuinely supportive team, ongoing SEN training and staff who work together to make a difference every day. There are also weekly extracurricular trips and activities, giving pupils opportunities to build confidence outside the classroom too.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), SEMH, Autism and ADHD
• Working as a Behaviour Mentor, SEN Teaching Assistant and Learning Support Assistant
• Providing 1:1 support and small group interventions
• Helping pupils manage emotions and challenging behaviour
• Encouraging engagement, independence and positive routines
• Building strong relationships with students who need consistency and support
• Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and pastoral teams
• Supporting learning both inside and outside the classroom

What The School Is Looking For:

• Experience supporting children or adults with behavioural needs or additional needs
• A calm, patient and resilient personality
• Someone who can take initiative and think on their feet
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Behaviour Mentor, Teaching Assistant, Support Worker or Care Worker experience is desirable
• Someone who genuinely wants to make a difference to young people
