Primary Teaching Assistant - Rotherham

Are you an enthusiastic Primary Teaching Assistant looking for flexible work across Rotherham?

Academics, an established Education Agency, are acting as an agency and are recruiting a Primary Teaching Assistant to work on a temporary, ongoing supply basis across a variety of friendly and supportive primary schools throughout Rotherham.

This Primary Teaching Assistant opportunity offers flexibility whilst allowing you to gain experience supporting pupils throughout EYFS, KS1 and KS2. Some roles may include supporting pupils with SEN within mainstream classrooms.

Position: Primary Teaching Assistant
Location: Rotherham, South Yorkshire
Contract: Temporary, flexible ongoing supply
Pay: 92.56 - 95 per day (paid via PAYE, no umbrella company fees, inclusive of holiday pay, dependent on experience, training, qualifications and client rate available)
Start Date: ASAP or a start date that works for you

About the Role

Working as a Primary Teaching Assistant in Rotherham, you will support teachers in delivering engaging lessons and help pupils reach their full potential within welcoming school environments.

The Primary Teaching Assistant role in Rotherham includes classroom support, intervention work and occasional 1:1 support where required.

Key Responsibilities

• Support pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2
• Deliver intervention sessions
• Encourage positive behaviour
• Assist with classroom organisation
• Promote an inclusive learning environment
• Follow safeguarding procedures

Candidate Requirements

• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification desirable
• Previous school or childcare experience
• Strong communication skills
• Enhanced DBS Certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
