Pay: 100 - 240 per day (depending on availability, the needs of the children, and experience)
Contract: Full-time, Monday to Friday

Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting for a patient, resilient, and highly nurturing SEMH Tutor to work within a specialist provision supporting pupils with very high-level Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in Chesterfield.

This setting forms part of a well-established multi-academy trust and provides a safe, structured, and therapeutic learning environment for children who may have experienced trauma, disengagement from education, or significant emotional barriers to learning.

This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about making a real difference and is able to build strong, trusting relationships with young people.

As an SEMH Tutor, you will work closely with pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis, supporting engagement in learning and helping to rebuild confidence, trust, and emotional regulation.

You will deliver tailored learning activities, support emotional development, and play a key role in helping pupils re-engage with education in a positive and supportive way.

The successful candidate will:

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with high SEMH needs
• Deliver engaging, flexible learning activities tailored to individual needs
• Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
• Help rebuild trust and confidence in education
• Work closely with staff to create a safe and structured environment
• Be a consistent, reliable presence for vulnerable pupils

• Competitive daily pay of 100 - 240, depending on availability, the needs of the children, and experience

The higher end of the pay scale (up to 240 per day) is available to candidates who can demonstrate significant experience working with SEMH, complex needs, or highly challenging behaviour. Availability, consistency of support, and the ability to adapt to varying pupil needs will also influence the rate offered.
