Overview

Our client is a highly respected and successful financial services organisation and they are recruiting for a MI Reporting Analyst. Start date is ideally in October, and you will be office based in Nottinghamshire on Mondays and Tuesdays. The purpose of the role is to replace someone in the small team of 4 and to come in during a period of change in the business and contribute to organisational readiness for cloud-based services and data platforms.

Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain MI dashboards and reports using advanced spreadsheet software (Power Query, Pivot Tables, VBA).
• Write advanced database-query languages queries and apply data mining to deliver actionable insights from complex datasets.
• Create wireframes and mock-ups to support stakeholder engagement and solution design.
• Lead testing of third-party systems, documenting outcomes and resolving issues ahead of business UAT.
• Manage BAU changes, including rate updates, data provision, and third-party service requests.

Requirements
• Experience as a Business Analyst or MI/Reporting Analyst from within the financial services sector.
• Strong understanding of UAT and system testing.
• Skilled in complex database-query languages for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
• Experienced in data mining to identify trends and actionable insights.
• Advanced spreadsheet software and VBA expertise; proficiency in CXAIR would be ideal.
• Skilled in data visualisation and dashboard development.
