Pay Rates

• 15.00 per hour (PAYE)
• 16.81 per hour with holiday pay rolled up into your hourly rate

The Role

We are currently recruiting experienced Class 2 (Category C) Drivers for temporary and ongoing contracts across Heywood and Middleton.

We work with a variety of well-established clients, offering a range of Class 2 driving assignments. Work may include palletised deliveries and collections, delivering sheet materials, and multi-drop deliveries of packaging products.

Drivers can expect regular day shifts with an average start time of 7:00am.

Duties Include:

• Palletised deliveries and collections.
• Delivering sheet materials and other industrial products.
• Safely strapping and securing loads before and during transport.
• Handball when handling 8ft x 4ft plastic sheet materials where required.
• Multi-drop deliveries of packaging materials, with up to 11 deliveries per day on some contracts.
• Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks.
• Completing delivery paperwork accurately.
• Providing a professional and courteous service to customers.
• Complying with Driver Hours, Working Time Directive and road transport regulations.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

• A valid Class 2 (Category C) driving licence held for a minimum of 6 months to 1 year.
• At least 6 months' Class 2 driving experience.
• Experience securing loads using straps is highly desirable.
• A valid Driver CPC Qualification Card.
• A valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• No more than 6 penalty points on your driving licence.
• No DR, DD, CD, IN endorsements or any other convictions that have resulted in a driving ban or disqualification.
• A good understanding of Driver Hours and Working Time Directive regulations.
• A reliable, professional and safety-conscious attitude.
• A good level of physical fitness, as some contracts involve manual handling.
