Teaching Assistant - SEND School
Location: Scunthorpe
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Long-term with the opportunity to become permanent
Salary: 100- 105 per day

Aspire People is currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming SEND school in Scunthorpe from September. This is a long-term opportunity with the potential to secure a permanent position for the right candidate.
Working Hours:
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday: 8:30am - 3:30pm
Wednesday: 8:30am - 4:30pm (staff training and development)
This supportive school follows a tiered approach to supporting both pupils and staff. You won't be expected to know everything from day one - you'll receive ongoing guidance, training, and support from an experienced team who are committed to helping you succeed.
We're looking for candidates with experience in:
Schools or educational settings
Nurseries or early years environments
Residential or supported living settings
Care work
Supporting vulnerable adults
Supporting children or young people with additional needs
If you have transferable skills, a positive attitude, and a genuine passion for supporting others, we'd love to hear from you.
The ideal candidate will:
Be patient, caring, and resilient
Build positive relationships with pupils and staff
Be adaptable and willing to learn
Have experience supporting individuals with additional needs or vulnerable people (preferred but not essential)
Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one
