HSE Engineer
Location: Eastbourne, East Sussex
Hours: 21 hours per week, ideally split across three days or as reasonable.
Contract: Until December 2026, with limited scope for extension.
Pay: 23 per hour

Our Client, a reputable organisation based at Honeywell is hiring for a dedicated HSE Engineer to join their team on a temporary basis until the end of December 2026. This onsite role offers a fantastic opportunity to contribute to environmental, health, and safety initiatives within a manufacturing environment.

What you'll be doing:
Implement and maintain company policies aligned with local, state, and federal environmental, health, and safety regulations.
Assist in designing and developing facilities, work areas, and procedures, providing environmental, health, and safety recommendations.
Prepare, update, and maintain environmental policy and procedure manuals.
Ensure ongoing compliance with all relevant regulations and stay informed of legislative changes.
Act as the point of contact with regulatory bodies at all levels.
Support general EHS tasks, including process and procedure writing and system management.

What you'll bring:
Experience working with management systems such as ISO 14001, ISO 45001, or both.
IOSH Managing Safely certification (minimum).
Good PC skills and familiarity with manufacturing or similar industries.
Ability to write and develop processes and procedures.
A proactive approach with the ability to work under supervision.
Ideally, 1-2 years in EHS or junior roles, with a keen interest in developing expertise in environmental and safety management.
