Waste & Recycling Operative

Immediate Start 14.49 per hour Temporary to Permanent Opportunity

Pertemps are recruiting Waste & Recycling Operatives on behalf of Buckinghamshire Council to join their friendly Neighbourhood Services team in Aylesbury.

Whether you're looking to gain work experience, between jobs, or hoping to secure a permanent position, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a respected local authority while working outdoors as part of a supportive team.

What you'll receive

• 14.49 per hour
• Monday to Friday working pattern (44.25 hours per week) with occasional Saturdays
• Temporary role with the opportunity to become permanent after 12 weeks
• Immediate starts available

The role

As a Waste & Recycling Operative, you'll work alongside an experienced team collecting household waste and recycling across Buckinghamshire.

Your day will include:

• Collecting household refuse, recycling, food, garden and clinical waste
• Delivering and collecting household bins
• Working safely and efficiently as part of a team
• Providing a vital service to local residents
• Working outdoors in all weather conditions

This is an active role that will keep you on your feet throughout the day, making it ideal for someone who enjoys physical work and being outside.

We're looking for people who are:

• Reliable and punctual

• Physically fit and enjoy active work
• Able to work well as part of a team
• Friendly with good communication skills
• Ready to start work immediately

Previous experience isn't essential. If you're hardworking, dependable and willing to learn, we'd love to hear from you.

Interview and start dates

Interviews will take place during the week commencing 13th July, with successful candidates able to start shortly afterwards.

The depot is conveniently located close to Aylesbury town centre with excellent public transport links and easy access from the M25, M1, M4 and M40.
