HSE Manager

Job Overview

We are supporting a solar EPC client who is delivering a ground mount solar farm in East Riding, Yorkshire.

They are looking for an experienced HSE Manager or HSE Advisor to take ownership of health and safety across the project. The role will involve working closely with the site team, subcontractors and project management team to make sure HSE standards are maintained throughout construction.

Role Details

• Position: HSE Manager or HSE Advisor
• Location: East Riding, Yorkshire
• Project: 70 MW ground mount solar farm
• Contract length: 12 months
• R35 status: Outside IR35
• Start date: Required in the next few weeks

Key Responsibilities

• Manage health and safety across the site
• Review, monitor and support with RAMS
• Carry out site inspections, audits and toolbox talks
• Work closely with subcontractors to maintain safe working practices
• Support the site team with HSE procedures and documentation
• Identify risks and make sure corrective actions are followed through
• Promote a strong safety culture across the project
• Ensure works are carried out in line with CDM regulations and project requirements
• Report HSE updates to the project team where required

Requirements

• NEBOSH qualification as a minimum
• Previous HSE experience on solar farm or renewable energy projects
• Strong site based construction safety background
• Good understanding of RAMS, audits, inspections and site documentation
• Comfortable working with subcontractors and site teams
• Able to work independently and take ownership of site HSE
• Strong communication skills and a practical approach to safety
