Monday to Friday Rotating Shifts (06:00-14:00 / 14:00-22:00)

We're recruiting on behalf of a leading manufacturer in Kirriemuir for skilled Sewing Machinists to join their production team.

This is not a general production role. We're looking for candidates who have sewing experience and take real pride in producing quality work. If you enjoy working with precision, have a strong eye for detail, and are confident using sewing machinery, this could be an excellent opportunity to join a business that values craftsmanship, consistency and teamwork.

Working within a specialist manufacturing environment, you'll be producing technical textile products that require accuracy, care and attention to detail. As a Sewing Machinist, you will be responsible for:

• Operating industrial sewing machines safely and efficiently.
• Producing specialist textile products to exact specifications.
• Working to high quality standards whilst meeting production targets.
• Carrying out routine quality inspections throughout the manufacturing process.
• Completing production records and documentation accurately.
• Identifying and reporting faults or quality concerns promptly.
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment.
• Supporting the wider production team where required.

Essential:

• Previous sewing experience, ideally using industrial sewing machines.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong reliability, punctuality and work ethic.
• Willingness to work rotating early and back shifts.

Desirable:

• Experience within textiles, upholstery, upholstery sewing, canvas work, automotive trimming, sail making or other manufacturing sewing environments.
• Previous experience working to production targets and quality standards.

• Competitive pay rate of 14.30 per hour.
• Monday to Friday working pattern.
