Tradewind Education is seeking enthusiastic, confident, and reliable Cover Supervisors to join our team from September. We have flexible opportunities available on a day-to-day, short-term, and long-term basis, working across our network of secondary partnership schools throughout Doncaster.

Whether you're an experienced Cover Supervisor, a recent graduate considering a career in teaching, or someone with transferable experience working with young people, we'd love to hear from you.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in maintaining continuity of learning by supervising classes in the absence of the regular teacher. You will deliver pre-planned lessons, ensure students remain engaged with their work, and create a positive and productive classroom environment.

• Supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff.
• Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and ensure students remain focused on set work.
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school's behaviour policy.
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
• Support students with their learning where appropriate.
• Record attendance and report any issues or concerns to the relevant school staff.
• Maintain professionalism and adapt confidently to different school environments.

To be considered for this role, you should have:

• Experience working with secondary-aged students in an educational, youth work, coaching, mentoring, or similar setting (desirable but not essential).
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Confidence leading groups of young people and building positive relationships.
• A flexible and adaptable approach to working in different schools.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one through Tradewind Education.
• The legal right to work in the UK.
