Speech & Language Therapist - Specialist College

Overview

I'm currently recruiting for a Speech & Language Therapist to support a specialist college in East London from September.

This is a 1 day per week, term-time locum role working with a small caseload of young people aged 14-18 years. You'll support students with a range of communication needs, including Developmental Language Disorder (DLD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), learning difficulties and social communication needs.

The caseload is already established, with five students requiring ongoing Speech & Language Therapy. You'll benefit from a full handover from the current therapist, who will also remain involved to provide clinical supervision and ongoing support, making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking for a well-supported school placement.

Requirements

• HCPC registered Speech & Language Therapist
• Degree or higher qualification in Speech & Language Therapy recognised by the relevant professional bodies
• Experience working with children or young people with SEND
• Experience supporting students with ASD and language disorders is desirable
• Enhanced DBS (we can put this in process for you)
