Responsibilities of a SEN Teacher:

Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons as a SEN Teacher

Support pupils with autism, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs and other additional needs as a SEN Teacher

Create and implement individual learning strategies as a SEN Teacher

Work closely with teaching assistants, SENCOs, parents and external agencies as a SEN Teacher

Foster a safe, nurturing and inclusive classroom environment as a SEN Teacher

Assess pupil progress and adapt teaching to maximise outcomes as a SEN Teacher

Requirements for a SEN Teacher:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Previous experience working as a SEN Teacher or teaching pupils with special educational needs

Strong knowledge of SEND strategies and inclusive teaching practices

Excellent classroom management and communication skills

A patient, adaptable and compassionate approach
