Primary School Teacher (Upper Key Stage 2)

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Qualified Primary School Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Runcorn. This is a full-time, temporary position with the potential to become a longer-term opportunity for the right candidate. The successful applicant will be an Upper Key Stage 2 specialist, committed to delivering high-quality teaching and helping pupils achieve their full potential.

About the Role

• Plan and deliver engaging, creative lessons for an Upper Key Stage 2 class.
• Create a positive, inclusive learning environment where all pupils can thrive.
• Assess, monitor and support pupil progress, adapting teaching to meet individual needs.
• Prepare pupils for the transition to secondary education through high-quality teaching and effective classroom practice.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff and parents to promote positive outcomes for every child.
• Uphold high standards of behaviour, safeguarding and wellbeing throughout the school day.

What We're Looking For

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) (essential).
• Experience teaching within Upper Key Stage 2.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
• Strong knowledge of the Primary National Curriculum and effective assessment practices.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• A proactive, enthusiastic and flexible approach to teaching.
