Drivers Mate - Home Deliveries
Location: Milton Keynes, MK1 8BA
Shift Times: Monday to Fr5iday, 05:30 start
Pay Rate: 13.16 per hour

We're looking for full-time Drivers Mates to join us at our site in Milton Keynes.
Our client is a third-party provider of transportation and logistics services, offering a range of services including drayage, global freight forwarding, and full truckload transport. The company is committed to environmental sustainability and works with customers to create action plans to reduce emissions.

About the Role
This is a challenging and physically demanding role involving multi-drop home deliveries, with many routes across Central London.

Our business specialises in delivering kitchens, which can involve carrying units and worktops into 3rd and 4th floor flats with no lift access. As a result, applicants must be physically fit and prepared for strenuous work and occasional long days. Most routes begin at 05:30, Monday to Friday. Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.

What You'll Do on a Typical Day

• Assist Drivers with loading and unloading deliveries, including carrying products into customers' homes.
• Complete multi-drop deliveries, with the number of drops varying each day.
• Deliver products to the customer's room of choice, including properties with multiple flights of stairs and no lift access.
• Carry out kerbside deliveries, such as to building sites, where items are handballed directly from the vehicle to site personnel.
• Deliver products including white goods (dishwashers, washing machines, fridges), kitchen units, and worktops.
• Provide excellent customer service, communicating professionally with customers throughout the delivery process.

What You Need to Succeed

• Previous multi-drop delivery experience.
• Similar Drivers Mate or home delivery experience is preferred.
• A good working relationship with your Driver and a friendly, professional approach with customers.
• A positive, can-do attitude.
• Good communication skills.
• Physical fitness to safely carry heavy items throughout the day.
