Primary Teaching Assistant - Lambeth

Remedy Education are looking for strong and committed Primary Teaching Assistants to support schools across Lambeth.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children and wants to gain valuable classroom experience in a supportive primary school environment. The schools are looking for candidates who are reliable, engaging and confident supporting pupils with their learning, confidence and behaviour.

This role is ideal for experienced Teaching Assistants, graduates, aspiring teachers, or candidates with a background in childcare, tutoring, mentoring or youth support.

Role Details:

Position: Primary Teaching Assistant
Location: Lambeth
Pay: 100- 117 per day
Hours: Full-time
Start Date: ASAP / September roles available
School Type: Primary School

The Role:

As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will:

Support children across EYFS, KS1 or KS2
Work closely with the class teacher to support daily lessons
Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils who need extra help
Assist with phonics, reading, writing, maths and classroom activities
Encourage positive behaviour, focus and confidence in learning
Support pupils with a range of abilities and additional needs
Help prepare resources and maintain a positive classroom environment
Build strong relationships with pupils and staff

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Experience working with children or young people
School, nursery, tutoring, youth work or childcare experience is desirable
A calm, patient and enthusiastic approach
Good communication and organisation skills
Confidence working as part of a school team
A genuine passion for helping pupils progress
An Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one
