Role: Machine Operatives
Location: Sudbury, Suffolk
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 06:30 - 17:00
Pay: 13.00 - 15.50+ p/hour (DOE)
Contract: Temporary to Permanent

We are currently recruiting for Machine Operatives to join a well-established manufacturing business in Sudbury. This is a fantastic opportunity for hands-on candidates with manufacturing, fabrication, or assembly experience looking to join a skilled and supportive production team.

We are looking for candidates across two areas of production:

Brake Press Operator Duties:

• Operating brake press machinery to bend and form sheet metal components
• Setting and adjusting machines to meet job specifications
• Working from engineering drawings and production instructions
• Measuring finished components to ensure accuracy and quality standards
• Carrying out general fabrication and sheet metal duties as required

Spot Welding / Pemserting Operator Duties:

• Operating spot welding and pemserting equipment to assemble sheet metal components
• Reading and working from engineering drawings and work instructions
• Positioning and securing components ready for welding or insertion
• Carrying out quality checks on finished products
• Using hand tools and supporting general assembly duties

Who are we looking for?

• Previous experience within manufacturing, fabrication, or assembly environments
• Experience with brake press machinery, spot welding, or pemserting would be advantageous
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
• Confident using hand tools and measuring equipment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work well within a team
• Training can be given for candidates with similar experience/ background
