Cradley Heath Weekly Pay Full-Time Permanent

We're currently recruiting for an experienced Band Saw Operator to join a well-established steel manufacturing company based in Cradley Heath. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a busy production team with long-term career prospects.

Reporting to the Production Manager, you'll be responsible for operating band saw machinery to cut carbon steel accurately while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.

As a Band Saw Operator, your responsibilities will include:

• Operating band saw machinery to cut carbon steel to customer specifications.
• Setting up and adjusting saw blades, tooling and fixtures.
• Inspecting finished products to ensure quality standards are met.
• Loading and unloading steel materials.
• Carrying out routine maintenance and daily machine checks.
• Reading and working from technical drawings and work instructions.
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment.
• Supporting other areas of the engineering department when required.

To be successful in this role, you'll have:

• Previous experience operating band saw machinery.
• Experience within a steel, engineering or manufacturing environment.
• A good level of maths and English.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• A strong awareness of health and safety.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Overhead Crane Licence.
• FLT (Counterbalance) Licence.
• Welding experience.
