SEND Teaching Assistant Welwyn Garden City

We are recruiting a dedicated and enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive school in Welwyn Garden City.

The Role:

• Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEND

• Supporting children with a range of additional needs, including autism, communication difficulties, learning needs, and social or emotional challenges

• Working alongside teachers and support staff to deliver personalised support

• Helping pupils access learning and engage with the curriculum

• Encouraging independence, confidence and positive learning behaviours

• Supporting pupils' social, emotional and academic development

• Contributing to a safe, inclusive and supportive school environment

We're Looking For:

• Experience working with children or young people with SEND is desirable

• A caring, patient and proactive approach

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues

• Reliability, professionalism and a commitment to supporting pupil progress

• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
