Cockpit Test and Development Lead Engineer - (phone number removed) - £30.71/hr umbrella rate

What You Will Do:

Coordinate development, testing and verification for new cockpit content from planning through to sign-off as part of the Cockpit Test and Development Lead Engineer remit.

Set up, monitor, track and report development progression, ensuring test timing plans are followed to support programme gateway commitments.

Manage RMDV (management tracking system) deck activity for relevant programmes, setting and cascading targets to the appropriate areas.

Create and maintain Bills of Materials for test parts, keeping documentation accurate and audit-ready for engineering sign-off.

Liaise with suppliers and test houses, obtain quotes, and partner with the value for money function to support approvals.

Evaluate test results, resolve issues, produce reports, and ensure information is filed back into RMDV, keeping module documentation current.

What You Will Bring:

Previous experience resolving business, technical and process issues within a project team environment.

Degree qualification or equivalent experience, with a solid understanding of Digi buck and Design Verification processes.

Knowledge of engineering standards and test procedures, with confidence setting up and progressing practical test plans.

Strong communication and influencing skills, particularly when coordinating across programme stakeholders.

A proactive, independent working style with tenacity and the ability to deliver operational plans in a complex, demanding environment.
