SEN Teaching Assistant

Day-to-day of the role:

• Provide targeted support to pupils with special educational needs (SEN) in various school settings.
• Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and adapt activities to meet students' needs.
• Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and learning.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to enhance educational and behavioral outcomes.
• Utilize strong behavior management skills to maintain a positive and productive classroom atmosphere.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience with SEN or transferable skills from care, coaching, or youth work.
• Confident, resilient, and proactive approach to challenges.
• Strong behavior management skills and the ability to effectively support students.
• Passion for supporting and engaging young learners and helping them achieve their potential.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
