Teaching Assistant - Secondary School

• Location: Plymouth
• Salary: £95 a day
• Contract: Full-time, Term-time only

We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant secondary school. This role involves providing general support across various subjects, helping students stay engaged and progress in their learning. Day-to-day of the role:

• Provide classroom support across a range of subjects to enhance the educational experience.
• Assist students individually and in small groups to ensure they understand the material and are engaged.
• Support teachers with the preparation and delivery of lessons.
• Help maintain a positive, focused, and energetic learning environment.
• Encourage student participation and boost their confidence in academic performance.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience working with secondary school-aged students.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students and staff.
• Proactive and adaptable approach to handle various classroom situations.
• Ability to support students with varying abilities and foster an inclusive educational atmosphere.

Desirable:

• Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a classroom support role.
• Strong subject knowledge in core areas such as English, Maths, or Science.
