1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant

Academics Ltd is currently recruiting for a committed 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a pupil in a welcoming primary school in Aldershot. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to make a genuine difference in a child's education, confidence, and overall development.

The Role:

As a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with a pupil who requires additional support throughout the school day. You will play a key role in helping the child access learning, develop independence, and achieve their full potential in a safe and inclusive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil with Special Educational Needs
• Support the pupil's academic, social, and emotional development
• Work collaboratively with the class teacher, SENCO, and other professionals
• Adapt learning activities to meet the pupil's individual needs
• Build a positive and trusting relationship with the pupil
• Encourage confidence, independence, and active participation in classroom activities

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Experience working with children with SEN in a school, care, youth work, or similar setting
• A patient, caring, and adaptable approach
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service
