Youth Mentor

Location - Manchester (M13)

Pay - £505-£550 per week, depending on experience

Start Date - 03/09/2026

Hours - Monday to Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm

Are you a calm, resilient individual with a passion for supporting young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? We are currently working with a specialist, Pupil Referral Unit in the Manchester area, looking to recruit an experienced youth mentor to join their welcoming team.

As a Youth Mentor, you will:

Offer both 1:1 and group support to pupils with SEMH needs

Maintain regular communication with parents and carers to monitor progress

Provide both academic and emotional support, to encourage pupils to reach their full potentialWhat we are looking for:

Up to date Safeguarding training within the last year (desired but training can be provided)

Team Teach Level 2 is highly desired but training can be provided

Previous experience supporting SEMH, in a community or school based roleTo Be Eligible You Must:

Hold the Right to Work in the UK

Have an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service (or be willing to apply)
