Maths Teacher

Location: Cardiff

Start Date: September 2026

Contract: Full-Time | Monday to Friday | 8:15am - 3:00pm

Duration: Full Academic Year | Potential to Become Permanent

Pay: £172.98 - £200 per day (dependent on experience)

Empowering Learning are currently recruiting on behalf of a fantastic secondary school in Cardiff who are seeking a committed and enthusiastic QTS Maths Teacher to join their team from September.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Maths Teacher who is passionate about helping students build confidence and achieve success in mathematics. The position is available for the full academic year, with the possibility of becoming a permanent role for the right person.

The Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4, supporting students of all abilities and creating a positive, engaging classroom environment.

You will play an important role in developing students' mathematical understanding, encouraging problem-solving skills and inspiring a love of the subject.

We Are Looking For:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

Experience teaching Maths at KS3 and KS4 level.

A strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging lessons.

Excellent behaviour management and the ability to build positive relationships with students.

A proactive, enthusiastic and committed approach to teaching.

Requirements:

Enhanced DBS Certificate on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.

Two professional references from recent employers.

The right to work in the UK.
