Multi Trader – Reactive Maintenance (Social Housing)

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £[Salary] per annum (depending on experience) + company vehicle/fuel card + benefits

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and reliable Multi Trader to join our growing reactive maintenance team, delivering high-quality repairs and maintenance services within occupied social housing properties.

This is a customer-facing role where you'll carry out a wide range of day-to-day repairs while providing excellent service to tenants. The ideal candidate will be skilled across multiple trades, able to work independently, and committed to completing jobs safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out reactive maintenance and repair works in occupied social housing properties.

Complete a variety of repairs including:

Carpentry

Plumbing

Patch Plastering

Tiling

Painting & Decorating

General Maintenance

Diagnose faults and identify the most effective repair solutions.

Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety regulations and company standards.

Maintain accurate records using handheld devices or job management systems.

Deliver excellent customer service and communicate professionally with tenants and clients.

Manage your workload efficiently to meet appointments and service level agreements.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Multi Trader within reactive maintenance, repairs, or social housing.

Strong skills with experience across a range of general building trades.

Ability to work independently and problem-solve effectively.

Good communication and customer service skills.

Full UK driving licence.

Right to work in the UK.

Desirable

Relevant NVQ/City & Guilds qualifications.

Asbestos Awareness, Manual Handling, and Working at Height training (preferred but not essential)
