Salary: £145 - £245 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist SEND school based in Glastonbury (BA6), who are seeking to appoint a dedicated SEND Teacher. The school specialises in supporting students with Specific Learning Differences (SpLD), including dyslexia, dyspraxia, dyscalculia and dysgraphia, and is recognised for its innovative blended learning approach and commitment to helping every student thrive in a supportive and inclusive environment.

The school is looking to take on a full-time, temporary SEND Teacher from September. The successful SEND Teacher will teach students aged 7 to 16 years, planning and delivering engaging lessons that meet individual learning needs while creating a positive, inclusive classroom environment. You will work closely with support staff and the wider school team to ensure every student is able to make meaningful academic and personal progress.

The successful SEND Teacher will have:

• QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)

• Experience teaching children or young people with SEND, particularly Specific Learning Differences (SpLD)

• Strong knowledge of adaptive teaching strategies and differentiated learning

• Excellent classroom management and communication skills

• A patient, flexible and nurturing approach

• A genuine passion for helping every student achieve their full potential
