CAD Technician – Heathrow Airport

A leading Tier 1 contractor is seeking an experienced CAD Technician to join a major infrastructure programme at Heathrow Airport, supporting works on the Northern Runway and associated airside infrastructure projects.

This is an excellent opportunity to secure long-term work on one of the UK's most high-profile aviation projects, working within a fast-paced airport environment alongside a highly experienced delivery team.

Key Responsibilities

Produce and update 2D and 3D CAD drawings for civil engineering and aviation projects.

Develop construction drawings, as-built records, and technical documentation.

Support engineering and delivery teams with design coordination and drawing revisions.

Ensure drawings comply with Heathrow standards, project specifications, and relevant regulations.

Liaise with site engineers, surveyors, designers, and stakeholders to capture and incorporate design changes.

Manage drawing registers and document control procedures.

Assist with the production of temporary works and construction sequencing drawings where required.

Requirements

Proven experience as a CAD Technician within civil engineering, infrastructure, highways, rail, or aviation projects.

Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (Civil 3D experience advantageous).

Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and survey information.

Experience producing as-built drawings and working in a construction environment.

Strong communication and organisational skills.

Previous airport, airside, or major infrastructure experience would be highly desirable.
