STORES CLERK

* £24 - £24.83 per hour

* 3 / 6 months contract

* Hours 8.00am – 4.30pm Monday to Thursday 1pm Friday finish

* Days

* Lunchtime finish Friday

* 35 days annual leave (inc BH)

We are Urgently looking for a Stores Clerk, who can offer an immediate start

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Store Clerk to join us, on a temporary basis for an initial 3–6 month assignment.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong stores and purchasing experience, ideally gained within an automotive or manufacturing environment

Commutable from Northfield, Halesowen, Wolverhampton, Birmingham, Worcester, Dudley, Stourbridge, Stourport-on-Severn, Walsall, Darlaston and Brierly Hill

DUTIES

* Maintain stock integrity and ensure safety stock levels are achieved.

* Monitor and replenish stock in a timely and cost-effective manner.

* Source components by raising RFQs (Requests for Quotation) with existing and new suppliers, using specifications and part numbers provided.

* Raise purchase orders using the plant's ERP system.

* Support the achievement of plant KPIs and objectives, including cost reduction, cost avoidance, supplier rationalisation, payment terms, automated ordering, and continuous improvement initiatives.

* Provide supplier escalation support to internal departments.

* Ensure all components are covered by a valid purchase order or agreement before delivery or work commences.

* Work closely with internal teams and suppliers to ensure continuity of supply and efficient stock management.

REQUIREMENTS

* Previous experience in a Stores, Stock Control, Purchasing or Supply Chain role.

* Strong storekeeping and inventory management experience.

* Experience within an automotive manufacturing environment is highly desirable.

* Experience using ERP/MRP systems to raise purchase orders.

* Good organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.

* Strong communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
