Salary: 93- 110 per day (dependent on qualifications and experience)

The Role

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting pupils to access learning, develop confidence, and achieve their individual potential. Working alongside class teachers, SENCOs and wider support teams, you will help create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEND.
• Supporting pupils with Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH and other additional learning needs.
• Assisting pupils to engage with classroom activities and the wider school environment.
• Promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
• Implementing EHCPs, individual learning plans and behaviour support strategies.
• Monitoring pupil progress and providing feedback to teaching staff.
• Supporting with personal care where required.
• Building positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience working with children or young people with SEND.
• A patient, resilient and proactive approach.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• A passion for supporting children to achieve their potential.
• A Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential.
