The Role - Cover Supervisor

As a Cover Supervisor, you will:

• Supervise lessons across KS3, KS4, and, where appropriate, KS5.
• Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials and ensure learning continues smoothly.
• Maintain excellent classroom behaviour and follow the school's behaviour policy.
• Support students with their learning and answer basic questions where appropriate.
• Record attendance, complete lesson feedback, and report any issues to teaching staff.
• Build positive relationships with students and staff across the school.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful Cover Supervisor will have:

• A degree or relevant experience working with young people.
• Strong classroom presence and excellent communication skills.
• Confidence managing groups of secondary-aged students.
• A calm, organised, and adaptable approach.
• A genuine interest in education.
• Previous experience in a school setting is desirable but not essential.
