EYFS Teaching Assistant - Supply & Long-Term Opportunities

ABOUT THE ROLE

Prospero Teaching is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistants to work within primary schools and Early Years settings across Bristol.

CONTRACT / POSITION DETAILS

Location: Bristol

Position: EYFS Teaching Assistant

Rate of Pay: £110 per day

Hours: Full-Time and Part-Time Opportunities Available

Contract Types: Ad-hoc, Short-Term, Long-Term, and Temp-to-Perm

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND REQUIREMENTS

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

✅ Previous experience working with children within an EYFS, nursery, preschool, or primary school setting

✅ Good understanding of child development and the EYFS Framework

✅ Ability to support learning through play and child-led activities

✅ Strong communication and interpersonal skills

✅ A caring, patient, and nurturing approach

✅ Ability to build positive relationships with children, staff, and parents

✅ Commitment to supporting children's learning, wellbeing, and development

DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS

✅ Level 2 or Level 3 Childcare/Early Years Qualification

✅ Teaching Assistant Qualification

✅ Paediatric First Aid Certificate

✅ Experience supporting children with SEND

✅ Safeguarding Training

Training can be provided where required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Supporting children in Nursery and Reception classes

Assisting the class teacher with daily learning activities

Encouraging children's social, emotional, and educational development

Supporting children through structured learning and play-based activities

Assisting with observations and assessments where required

Promoting a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment

Supporting children with additional needs where necessary

Helping to prepare learning resources and classroom activities

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

Hold the Right to Work in the UK

Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Child Barred List Update Service, or be willing to apply for a new one

Provide two professional references covering the last two years
