Im working with a client and they are looking for a Planning Manager to come in on a contract basis.

Main Responsibilities

Lead the preparation, implementation, monitoring and review of the Minerals and Waste Local Plan.

Manage all aspects of development management, including planning applications, appeals, enforcement, site monitoring and pre-application advice.

Deliver a high-quality, customer-focused planning service through effective stakeholder engagement and collaboration.

Lead, manage and develop the planning team, including performance management, workload allocation, training and mentoring.

Oversee team budgets, resources, projects and work programmes to ensure delivery within agreed timescales and financial targets.

Prepare and present reports, recommendations and professional advice to committees, decision-makers and other stakeholders.

Represent and defend the Council's position at planning appeals, hearings, inquiries and court proceedings.

Monitor and respond to changes in planning legislation, policy and consultations, providing expert advice as required.Please do not hesitate to call me on (phone number removed) if interested
