Are you passionate about helping young people prepare for the world of work while building strong relationships with local employers?

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Careers and Work Experience team, supporting Construction students to gain valuable industry experience and develop the skills, confidence and connections they need for their future careers. You'll work closely with employers, learners and curriculum teams to secure high-quality work experience placements, strengthen employer partnerships and enhance students' employability.

If you enjoy building relationships, working with people and making a positive difference to learners' futures, we'd love to hear from you.

What you'll do:

Develop and maintain strong relationships with construction employers to create work experience and industry placement opportunities.

Coordinate and monitor work experience placements for Construction learners, ensuring a positive experience for both students and employers.

Support students in finding suitable placements and preparing for the workplace.

Deliver presentations and guidance sessions to learners on work experience and employability.

Work collaboratively with curriculum teams to meet industry placement requirements and employer engagement objectives.

Carry out employer visits and ensure all placements comply with health and safety, safeguarding and legislative requirements.

Monitor placement activity and use data to track learner participation and outcomes.

Represent the College at networking events, careers fairs and employer engagement activities.

Contribute to the continuous development of employability initiatives across the College.

What we're looking for:

Experience of working with employers, customers or external stakeholders.

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Confidence working independently and using your initiative.

Experience coordinating projects, events or placements would be advantageous.

Good IT skills and the ability to maintain accurate records and reports.

An understanding of health and safety requirements within the workplace, or a willingness to develop this knowledge.

A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.

A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and adults.

We are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from all sectors of the community.

Please note that this vacancy may close before the published closing date if sufficient applications are received, so if you are interested, we encourage you to apply as soon as possible.

To apply, you must have the right to work in the UK. Please note, we are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role.
